TestMasters LSAT Course Reviews

Jill Randolph | University of Idaho Before TestMasters 144 After TestMasters 162

“Without TestMasters I never would have received a 162 on my LSATan EIGHTEEN point increase! TestMasters gave me all the tools to break down the question types and feel confident to tackle each section. The instructor was able to explain and provide examples so that everyone in my diverse class was able to understand as well as make studying for this test enjoyablesomething I never thought I would say! TestMasters made me feel completely confident walking into the day of the test. I’m recommending this course to everyone who wants to go to law school!”

Charlie Baser | University of Montana Before TestMasters 150 After TestMasters 172

“I went into my TestMasters class having never looked at a single LSAT question before. After the first diagnostic, I was terrifiedI had always done well on standardized tests and a 150 was not where I thought I would be. Thankfully, my instructor Laura Ferro was incredible. She explained concepts and answered questions thoroughly from many different angles and helped me work through problem areas. Even when I doubted myself or questioned my ability to get where I wanted to be, she had complete confidence in me.

The TestMasters materials were a phenomenal resource. I never ran out of material to practice on despite what seemed like endless hours of studying. I also really appreciated TestMasters’ approachno gimmicks or tricks, just learning the skills you need to understand and correctly answer questions.

When I walked into the testing center on the day I took the LSAT, I knew that I could tackle any question that was thrown at me. It was a complete turnaround from how I felt on that first day of class and TestMasters helped me get there. I just got my score back a few days ago172! I moved up 22 points from my score on my first diagnostic, something I wasn’t sure was possible. I would recommend TestMasters to any friend of mine preparing to take the LSAT.”

Erin Aitcheson | University of Alaska-Anchorage Before TestMasters 138 After TestMasters 150

“The first time I took the LSAT, I had studied for about two months using a Kaplan book and felt as though I was prepared until the actual test began and I realized just how overwhelmingly difficult the LSAT is. I was greatly discouraged and disappointed when four weeks later I received my score of a 138.

When I was applying for law school I had all the right components for being admitted, except my test score which greatly held me back. I discovered TestMasters and felt it was the in-depth studying I would need to be successful. I prepped with TestMasters through their self-paced online course.

After completing the first diagnostic I felt even more discouraged when I only scored a 136. I struggled through the first few lessons and after completing a few more of the diagnostics and supplemental tests I was still only scoring 140, 141, and 143. I was beginning to wonder if maybe law school was not the right choice for me.

Finally, towards the end of my lessons I took a diagnostic and scored a 155. I finally felt confident that maybe I could do this. My last few tests I completed before going to the real test I was scoring between 147-155.

I was still very nervous when taking the real test but felt much more prepared going in. Afterwards I still had doubts whether I actually did well or not. My score finally came and when I opened it I could not have been more excited. I scored a 150, which was what I was aiming for. I was accepted to all seven schools I applied to, many of them with scholarship awards. This fall I am attending my dream law school and could not be happier.

I am so thankful that I discovered TestMasters and it truly helped me reach my goal. I was greatly discouraged in the beginning of the course but hard work coupled with the excellent instruction and guidance of TestMasters, enabled me to feel a sense of achievement and excel beyond my goals! I cannot thank TestMasters enough!”

Nicholas Palatucci | UC Berkeley Before TestMasters 160 After TestMasters 179

“TestMasters was the key to my performance on the LSAT. I raised my score by nearly twenty points! My instructor really understood the test and gave his students the tools we needed to beat it. In class we went through each question type in depth so we could understand how it worked. It was much more than just time management and general strategy; we really focused on how to answer each question with confidence. I have recommended TestMasters to everyone who has asked me how to replicate my LSAT score, and will continue to do so.”

Libby Whittemore | University of Oregon Before TestMasters 148 After TestMasters 166

“I went into my TestMasters class absolutely terrified. My performance on the first diagnostic test made me doubt whether I even wanted to be a lawyer. But about halfway through the class I realized I was making significant headway thanks to the hands-on instruction my TestMasters instructor gave me. It was a challenging and frustrating class at times, but in the weeks before the LSAT I became calm and confident, and as a result of all the work I did with TestMasters, my actual LSAT score amazed meI thought I might improve 8 or 10 points, but I improved 18. Now I am getting letters from schools like UCLA, Duke, and the University of Virginia congratulating me on my score and inviting me to apply for free. I never thought I’d be one to write one of these testimonials, but I never could have done this without TestMasters. TestMasters buys the rights to all previous LSAT questions and uses those in class and on the homework to teach students what they can really expect to see on the LSAT. By the end of the class, we had seen every LSAT question in existence and spent 6 hours each week with our instructor. If I can give future LSAT takers a piece of advice, it’s to remain calm, trust that you will learn the material in time, and take TestMasters over other courses because it’s more than worth the money and the time you put into it.”

Hunter Jeffers | University of Washington Before TestMasters 154 After TestMasters 170

“If you are serious about maximizing your LSAT score, TestMasters is by far your best option. Before choosing TestMasters, I consulted numerous students who had taken other courses, both national and local. Looking back on my experience, there are a few specific reasons why I was so impressed. First off, their research into the test is unmatched among competitors, and this is proven by the exceptional material they provide. Secondly, like a good coach, they push you to practice and prepare endlessly. You will NEVER run out of TestMasters material to prepare with. Finally, my instructor had a remarkable ability to explain problems logically while connecting with students on a personal basis. With his off-the-charts intelligence, his explanations made everything easy to comprehend. I could continue with more, but plain and simple the return on my TestMasters investment has been exponential. There is a reason why I have recommended TestMasters to multiple law school applicants and every single one of them has thanked me profusely afterwards. TestMasters is truly the premier option for LSAT preparation.”

Katherine McNamara | UCLA Before TestMasters 142 After TestMasters 162

“The TestMasters program and my in-class instructor Michael La Masse transformed my understanding of the LSAT in extremely important ways. I am grateful for the class structure and homework format as it kept me in check. I was always able to complete my homework before the next class and felt like it helped me going into the next lesson. Michael kept me engaged in class and went beyond expectations when answering my questions. He was encouraging, respectful, and straightforward in class. If I was confused with a particular explanation he was able to quickly pivot and explain things a new way. He could come up with applicable examples on the spot and keep the atmosphere positive. I would recommend TestMasters to anyone looking to take the LSAT!”

Kimi Narita | Stanford Before TestMasters 155 After TestMasters 173

“Before taking TestMasters, I was very skeptical about the benefits of an LSAT test prep course. The LSAT is supposed to test how you think, so how can a test prep company prepare me in any way that I couldn’t do myself? Well, the answer is: if that test prep company is TestMasters, then you can learn a lot more than you could have imagined. What makes the TestMasters course so unique is that it teaches you the logic necessary for the LSAT. I was fortunate to take the TestMasters course with the creator, Robin Singh, and he taught me how to read each question on the LSAT carefully, analyze the information present, think about the missing information, and find the flaws in the argument’s construction. This type of technique is not only important for scoring well on the LSAT but vital for success in law school. Had I not taken the TestMasters course, I would have studied on my own, taken a few past LSAT tests, read a few test prep books, and could have scored decently on the LSAT. But I would never have scored as high as I did nor gained the insight I have as to how to think critically and logically not only for the LSAT but for law school. If you are going to make an investment in a test prep program, you should get all the value you can out of it. TestMasters offers the greatest value towards your score on the LSAT and towards your future.”

Nicole Foreman | University of Nevada-Reno Before TestMasters 148 After TestMasters 166

“I am so glad that I found the TestMasters program and used it to study for the LSAT. It taught me things I never would have been able to grasp through self-study with a limited background in logic/formal argument. Though rigorous and challenging, it is most definitely worth it. My final LSAT score was a 166, putting me in the 89th percentile and helping me receive two full-ride scholarship offers and several almost full-ride offers. I have already recommended the course to a colleague who was struggling with her LSAT studies. Right upon starting the course, she said she saw the questions in a whole new light. I have a lot for which to thank TestMasters.”

Aaron Stark | University of Oregon Before TestMasters 141 After TestMasters 155

“Just last week, after months of studying for the LSAT and writing my applications, I was accepted to law school. An amazing accomplishment that I believe would not have been anywhere close to possible without the support of TestMasters. Four years ago I took the LSAT not once, but twice, and could not for the life of me score higher than a 145. I bought test prep books and scrounged for materials but what those books could not teach me was how. How the heck can I figure this out? My TestMasters teachers showed me how. They were patient, experienced, and comforting. They believed in me and taught me what I needed to know and in a way that made the whole process seem less intimidating. When I received my score I was ecstatic, to say the least. Honestly, I didn’t know I had it in mebut TestMasters did.”

Ann Ji | UC Davis Before TestMasters 136 After TestMasters 159

“OMG! My first diag was a miserable 136. I would’ve completely scrapped the idea of law school if it weren’t for my TestMasters instructor. He gave some really solid advice and I plugged away. I ended up getting a 153 on my first LSAT, but I wasn’t satisfied. I was scoring close to 160 on my practice diags so I knew I had it in me. I signed up for another round of TestMasters classes with a different instructor who was also amazing. I knew I did not want to take the LSAT a third time, so I approached studying with a ‘do or die’ attitude; this is when I did EVERY single homework question and every single practice diagnostic offered by TestMasters. Then I took the real LSAT and I got a 159! I could not have achieved this without TestMasters and my great instructors, who were soooo patient, knowledgeable and thorough. Also, the strategies in the course helped me understand all of the question types. Initially, I hated the logical reasoning sections, but the TestMasters strategies worked and I ended up making the largest improvement on those sections. I am truly grateful and starting out I never would’ve believed that I would actually raise my score by 23 points. I now feel like I can send out my applications with some dignity. ;-)”

Darren Pouliot | USC Before TestMasters 159 After TestMasters 178

“There are three ways in which TestMasters has created an immensely valuable course that rises above the competition. They offer unique and effective problem-solving strategies that enable you to be accurate and swift. They provide you with the best available materials specifically designed to teach, not just throw problem after problem at you. And they have the best instructors, who take the unique strategies and comprehensive materials, and set out to make sure you personally are understanding the concepts conveyed in the lessons. That combination cannot be beat.

Also, my instructor was phenomenal. He not only completely understands the test, but also knows how to explain difficult concepts in ways other people can understand. He’s taught so many people that he can anticipate where you might have a hard time, and goes the extra mile to individualize your preparation to make sure you understand everything. I could not have asked for a better instructor.”

The “Before TestMasters” score is from either a pre-course practice LSAT or a pre-course officially administered LSAT, and the “After TestMasters” score is from a post-course officially administered LSAT.
