TestMasters LSAT Course Reviews

Gretta Moy | University of Toronto Before TestMasters 152 After TestMasters 170

“I would definitely recommend TestMasters. My experience with the course was nothing but fantastic. During the lessons my instructor gave clear explanations to all of our questions and ensured that each student understood the reasoning for each answer. He was engaging and made the three hours go by quickly. Outside of the lessons, we were encouraged to practice as much as possible and TestMasters provided a wealth of course materials to practice with. Their online platform was useful for easily finding answers to homework and diagnostic tests, as well as providing both video and written explanations to difficult questions. Unlike generic study guides, TestMasters teaches students how to understand the concepts underlying the LSAT questions and prepares students by giving them an excellent strategy for answering them. If you’re looking to write a successful LSAT, TestMasters is an essential step to your success!”

Maura Levine | University of Michigan Before TestMasters 143 After TestMasters 163

“I am so happy I chose TestMasters to prep for the LSAT. The program was very organized, which helped me feel comfortable with the test and reduced my test anxiety. My instructor was approachable, competent, flexible, and willing to explain things in many ways if students didn’t understand. His experience, patience and positive attitude helped me become comfortable with the LSAT and achieve a 20-point score increase! The class gives a specific schedule with homework and explains areas to focus on each week, breaking the test into manageable chunks—a great way to tackle a big goal. TestMasters also provided a wealth of practice problems to study and a helpful scoring system to check answers and work specifically on areas that I knew I struggled with. The course was well worth the cost and I am grateful for my helpful instructor and the entire TestMasters staff.”

Kyle Hogan | University of Rochester Before TestMasters 155 After TestMasters 177

“TestMasters’ course structure, analytics, and academic support (shoutout to Megan Giacomantonio) were super valuable. The greatest challenge for me was balancing my own perfectionism with smart time management on the test so I could get to every question, and that is why drilling and practicing timing strategies played a big part in my 22-point score increase. But the tools TestMasters provided are what allowed me to build a systematic and complete knowledge of the test and its content, so I was then able to dedicate my focus to timing.”

Niveda Anandan | University of Toronto Before TestMasters 151 After TestMasters 163

“I had wanted to become a lawyer since I was ten, but the dream remained distant, and I was unclear as to how I could make it a reality. As I entered university, I became aware of how competitive it was to get into well-reputed North American law schools. I did my research and TestMasters was a company that stood out to me the most in terms of testimonials from a great deal of previous test takers. I was extremely glad that I had chosen TestMasters. The videos featured Robin Singh and he was an amazing teacher! I loved how TestMasters had divided each lesson into separate question types and provided us with detailed explanations as to why certain choices were wrong and why the others were correct. I cannot stress this enough: to increase your score, you must learn precisely why an answer is wrong or correct, and TestMasters completely understood that. I know that TestMasters was a vital and indispensable component of my prep. In conclusion, I want to stress that the LSAT is not a test that measures innate ability—you can radically change your score with the right practice and dedication. Thank you TestMasters for helping me realize my dream!”

Mallika Balachandran | NYU Before TestMasters 145 After TestMasters 175

“Unlike other LSAT prep courses which try and teach tricks to answer LSAT questions or how to make your best guess, TestMasters teaches you how to find the correct answer every time. They teach you why that answer is right and every other answer is clearly wrong. They don’t take any shortcuts in their teaching methods and instead teach you how to think like the test writers. I loved going to my class and this made studying that much easier. My instructor not only took time to answer all of our questions, she encouraged us to challenge her thinking, until it was clear in all of our minds why the correct answer was correct. I ended up raising my score 30 points because TestMasters taught me how to think like the LSAT.”

Brooks Coe | Middlebury College Before TestMasters 163 After TestMasters 180

“The TestMasters formula works; what you put in is what you get out. TestMasters offers you everything you need to improve your score—fantastic course materials, instructors, and practice tests with comprehensive explanations. However, there are no shortcuts in the process. When your instructor tells you in the first class that you need to spend 15-20 hours a week studying outside of class, they’re not lying. You have to be committed to see improvement. The good news is that if you are committed, TestMasters offers everything and anything you need to achieve your goals.”

Isabel Keene | Wesleyan University Before TestMasters 148 After TestMasters 171

“I improved my score by 23 points from my first diagnostic after four months of studying through TestMasters’ self-paced online prep course. The course is easy to follow, accommodates different learning paces, and uses repetition to reinforce essential strategies. In my experience, it took several months and 5-10 practice tests before I felt familiar enough with both the material and the experience of taking the test that I understood which building blocks of the course I needed to revisit and fortify. About a month before my scheduled test date, I was scoring considerably below my goal and had difficulty identifying much of a pattern in the question types I was getting wrong. I decided to work with a TestMasters tutor, Megan Giacomantonio, for several one-hour sessions. Megan was incredibly patient, thoughtful and generous with her time. She encouraged me to consistently employ the methodology (i.e. stopping at the stimulus to take it in, actively ID question types upon reading the question stems), which really turned everything around for me. I decided to delay my scheduled test date by a month, and with more practice, I began scoring consistently in the high 160s. I did not reach my goal of 170 until test day. I unequivocally recommend this course to anyone embarking on studying for the LSAT, particularly to folks working full-time. For me, a combination of delaying my scheduled test date by a month and working with a tutor one-on-one was instrumental to my success.”

Sarah Abel | Harvard Before TestMasters 164 After TestMasters 179

“My first encounter with the LSAT was taking a free test available on LSAC’s website. My score was respectable but not as high as the score I knew I would need to get to be an attractive candidate to top law schools. Initially, I planned to prepare for the exam with just an LSAT prep book. However, my mother heard good things about TestMasters. ‘Why not?’ I thought. When I looked at the mountain of coursework from TestMasters, I wondered what I had gotten myself into. But after starting the course, I knew I’d made the right choice. They taught several techniques that allowed me to understand the test questions better and answer them quickly. I particularly found it helpful to learn how to diagram logical reasoning questions involving necessary and sufficient conditions. When I took the actual LSAT, I felt very well-prepared and calm and finished each section early. I am thrilled with my score and feel that the TestMasters course was much more beneficial than any book would have been.”

Sarah Stoughton | SUNY Buffalo Before TestMasters 151 After TestMasters 162

“I first learned of TestMasters when my pre-law organization held an LSAT workshop through the company. I really liked the instructor and the way he taught us to approach each type of question on the exam. I decided soon after to take their course. After the first day, I knew it would help me so much. My course instructor was incredibly helpful and qualified, and there was a vast amount of resources available to me. The course design really enables students to improve their scores. I know I would not have done nearly as well on the LSAT had I not taken the TestMasters course.”

Annie Rittgers | Dartmouth Before TestMasters 162 After TestMasters 177

“After signing up for the LSAT, I canvassed a group of friends who had gone to law school to see how they had prepared. There was the guy at work who had taken a TestMasters class and spent endless hours on the homework. And the friend at a party who pulled out his phone and texted ‘TestMasters’ to me when I couldn’t hear what he was saying for a second time. Countless others recommended I check out the TestMasters course, get a TestMasters tutor, or use the online material from the TestMasters site. I have to admit that the resounding support made me curious but also a bit skeptical—how could this place be that good? But after taking the self-paced online course, I agree that it is.

The self-paced course is structured for a comprehensive and efficient review of the material covered on the LSAT. With limited time and an unpredictable schedule, it allows you to focus on specific areas while ensuring that nothing slips through the cracks of your study regimen. I’d recommend this version of the course to anyone looking for a way to study independently on a tight timeline...and would even text TestMasters to a friend at a party if they couldn’t hear me raving about it over the music!”

Gabrielle Olivieri | Federal University of Rio de Janeiro Before TestMasters 133 After TestMasters 164

“Because of TestMasters’ incredible program and the dedication of my incredibly knowledgeable teacher, I had a score improvement of over 30 points and was accepted to top law schools such as George Washington, William & Mary, and the University of Minnesota, along with generous scholarship offers. Make no mistake, it takes lots of dedication and focus, but TestMasters prepares you step by step so that you can reach your goals. I would strongly recommend TestMasters to anyone who aims to get accepted to a reputable school.”

Justin Fung | Cornell Before TestMasters 167 After TestMasters 180

“Like many other LSAT test takers, I initially had my doubts about how effective a prep course could be, but TestMasters far surpassed my expectations. The wealth of resources made available to me after signing up for the course ensured that I would never run out of practice material. The instructor for my course was constantly challenging and encouraging the class to go beyond getting the right answer to understanding the questions. Make no mistake—this prep course is not for those hoping to find an easy solution. I put in at least five to ten additional hours a week into preparation and finished every LSAT question in the curriculum. I ended up jumping 13 points from my first practice LSAT, 167, to end up with a 180 on the real exam. If you take TestMasters seriously, you can succeed also.”

The “Before TestMasters” score is from either a pre-course practice LSAT or a pre-course officially administered LSAT, and the “After TestMasters” score is from a post-course officially administered LSAT.
