TestMasters LSAT Course Reviews

Jill Randolph | University of Idaho Before TestMasters 144 After TestMasters 162

“Without TestMasters I never would have received a 162 on my LSATan EIGHTEEN point increase! TestMasters gave me all the tools to break down the question types and feel confident to tackle each section. The instructor was able to explain and provide examples so that everyone in my diverse class was able to understand as well as make studying for this test enjoyablesomething I never thought I would say! TestMasters made me feel completely confident walking into the day of the test. I’m recommending this course to everyone who wants to go to law school!”

Hunter Jeffers | University of Washington Before TestMasters 154 After TestMasters 170

“If you are serious about maximizing your LSAT score, TestMasters is by far your best option. Before choosing TestMasters, I consulted numerous students who had taken other courses, both national and local. Looking back on my experience, there are a few specific reasons why I was so impressed. First off, their research into the test is unmatched among competitors, and this is proven by the exceptional material they provide. Secondly, like a good coach, they push you to practice and prepare endlessly. You will NEVER run out of TestMasters material to prepare with. Finally, my instructor had a remarkable ability to explain problems logically while connecting with students on a personal basis. With his off-the-charts intelligence, his explanations made everything easy to comprehend. I could continue with more, but plain and simple the return on my TestMasters investment has been exponential. There is a reason why I have recommended TestMasters to multiple law school applicants and every single one of them has thanked me profusely afterwards. TestMasters is truly the premier option for LSAT preparation.”

Ingrid Batey | The College of Idaho Before TestMasters 154 After TestMasters 165

“My first diagnostic score was 154. I was delighted when it gradually climbed on diagnostics and when my actual LSAT score was a 165, I was thrilled. My LSAT score has opened more doors for me than I thought; I am already getting scholarship offers in my email and haven’t even started applying to law schools. My instructor was great and I honestly cannot imagine taking a prep class from another company. I also have to say that TestMasters provided more material than I could ever get to and that was extremely helpful when it came to working on my problem areas. The strongest point though is the quality of instruction. Although the endless supply of material was helpful, the lectures were outstanding and I believe are better than you could find at a company with lower instructor standards. The amount of money I spent on this class pales in comparison to opportunities that are already presenting themselves. If you are serious about becoming a lawyer, this class is a fantastic investment!”

Charlie Baser | University of Montana Before TestMasters 150 After TestMasters 172

“I went into my TestMasters class having never looked at a single LSAT question before. After the first diagnostic, I was terrifiedI had always done well on standardized tests and a 150 was not where I thought I would be. Thankfully, my instructor Laura Ferro was incredible. She explained concepts and answered questions thoroughly from many different angles and helped me work through problem areas. Even when I doubted myself or questioned my ability to get where I wanted to be, she had complete confidence in me.

The TestMasters materials were a phenomenal resource. I never ran out of material to practice on despite what seemed like endless hours of studying. I also really appreciated TestMasters’ approachno gimmicks or tricks, just learning the skills you need to understand and correctly answer questions.

When I walked into the testing center on the day I took the LSAT, I knew that I could tackle any question that was thrown at me. It was a complete turnaround from how I felt on that first day of class and TestMasters helped me get there. I just got my score back a few days ago172! I moved up 22 points from my score on my first diagnostic, something I wasn’t sure was possible. I would recommend TestMasters to any friend of mine preparing to take the LSAT.”

Anna-Liisa Are | University of Colorado Before TestMasters 151 After TestMasters 173

“The first thing that I did when I decided that I wanted to apply to law school was to call my best friend’s brother, a successful lawyer, for advice about the LSAT. He gave me a five minute lecture about why I shouldn’t even consider taking any other class besides TestMasters. Even though I’d never heard of TestMasters before, I’d heard plenty of negative things about Kaplan and Princeton Review, including from a friend who’d been asked to teach an LSAT class for Kaplan despite having never actually taken the test, so I decided to give them a shot. I am grateful that I took that advice and I was very pleased with the class and with my experience. My instructor was patient and professional, taking the time to explain the concepts and the TestMasters methods thoroughly. I liked that the TestMasters methods were so clearly thought out and designed to avoid confusion while still allowing you some latitude to do what makes the most sense to you. Likewise, I appreciated that TestMasters draws its abundance of practice problems from actual LSATs so that we could really try to get into the heads of the test writers and understand what they were getting at and what they wanted us to do. Taking TestMasters was the sole thing I did to prepare for the LSAT and I’m certainly glad that it was!”

Nicole Foreman | University of Nevada-Reno Before TestMasters 148 After TestMasters 166

“I am so glad that I found the TestMasters program and used it to study for the LSAT. It taught me things I never would have been able to grasp through self-study with a limited background in logic/formal argument. Though rigorous and challenging, it is most definitely worth it. My final LSAT score was a 166, putting me in the 89th percentile and helping me receive two full-ride scholarship offers and several almost full-ride offers. I have already recommended the course to a colleague who was struggling with her LSAT studies. Right upon starting the course, she said she saw the questions in a whole new light. I have a lot for which to thank TestMasters.”

Radhika Bora | Stanford Before TestMasters 166 After TestMasters 178

“When I enrolled in TestMasters, I had high hopes: I wanted to score at least a 170 on my last diagnostic. I wasn’t sure if I could accomplish my goal, but I was determined to give it my best shot. Through the grueling practice of weekly classes, diagnostics, diagnostic review sessions, and homework, I managed to increase my score from 166 on the first diagnostic to 173 on my final diagnostic. On test day, I scored even higher thanks to my instructor’s tip to review the problems I had gotten wrongI ended up with a 178 LSAT score. I was over the moon. I definitely couldn’t have done it without TestMasters!”

Libby Whittemore | University of Oregon Before TestMasters 148 After TestMasters 166

“I went into my TestMasters class absolutely terrified. My performance on the first diagnostic test made me doubt whether I even wanted to be a lawyer. But about halfway through the class I realized I was making significant headway thanks to the hands-on instruction my TestMasters instructor gave me. It was a challenging and frustrating class at times, but in the weeks before the LSAT I became calm and confident, and as a result of all the work I did with TestMasters, my actual LSAT score amazed meI thought I might improve 8 or 10 points, but I improved 18. Now I am getting letters from schools like UCLA, Duke, and the University of Virginia congratulating me on my score and inviting me to apply for free. I never thought I’d be one to write one of these testimonials, but I never could have done this without TestMasters. TestMasters buys the rights to all previous LSAT questions and uses those in class and on the homework to teach students what they can really expect to see on the LSAT. By the end of the class, we had seen every LSAT question in existence and spent 6 hours each week with our instructor. If I can give future LSAT takers a piece of advice, it’s to remain calm, trust that you will learn the material in time, and take TestMasters over other courses because it’s more than worth the money and the time you put into it.”

Molly Anderson | University of Washington Before TestMasters 149 After TestMasters 163

“Being the only person among my family and friends aspiring to attend law school, the dreaded LSAT seemed difficult, scary, and impossible to navigate. My decision to take the TestMasters course was incomparably the best decision I could have made in my journey towards law school. My instructor Jeff Benjamin approached every class session, test section, and question with unwavering patience, willingness to help, and determination that I walk out of each session understanding the material. Undoubtedly, TestMasters gave me the tools, techniques, and confidence to sit for the LSAT and achieve a score I can be proud of. TestMasters’ unique approach is equally as challenging as it is rewarding, but the unlimited access to 24/7 online help, thousands of sample questions, and the guidance of my instructor made it all worth it. I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone taking or thinking of taking the LSAT!”

Collin Dyer | Reed College Before TestMasters 161 After TestMasters 172

“I feel that the TestMasters LSAT course was an excellent investment. Before signing up, I asked a number of friends in law school whether a prep course was worth the investment (as compared to independent study), and if so which one. The friends I asked surveyed their peers and I got quite a few responses. Most of the responders suggested taking a course, and of those, the vast majority recommended TestMasters. In fact, a number of people expressed dissatisfaction with courses they had taken through other companies, but I received no such reports regarding TestMasters. I chose to take the TestMasters course rather than study independently, and I am glad that I did for a number of reasons. First, the course required that I study much more that I would have on my own; essentially it offered a sort of imposed discipline. Second there were a countless number of actual LSAT questions available through TestMasters. Third, the course materials went way beyond practice problems. I learned what types of problems I would be more or less likely to face on test day, and strategies for dealing with the different types of questions. Fourth, the diagnostic tests prepared me mentally for the actual test dayI was a nervous wreck when I took the first diagnostic, but by the end of the course, I was so familiar with the test and the test-taking environment (which TestMasters does a very effective job of simulating) that I felt calm and collected on test day. Finally, my TestMasters instructor offered several pieces of ‘last-minute’ advice to the class in the week immediately before the test that, although not intuitive, proved very effective at keeping me calm, well-rested, and confident in the days and hours leading up to the actual LSAT.

The TestMasters course prepared me not only for the LSAT, but for law school as well. I did not have much exposure to concepts such as argument structure or logical reasoning as an undergraduate science major. However, as a result of the course, I am now confident in my logical reasoning and argument deconstruction skills, which will surely serve me well in law school.”

Jonathan Wright | University of Colorado Before TestMasters 139 After TestMasters 162

“I want to thank you for your excellent LSAT program and the impact it has had on my future. I’m tremendously grateful for the exceptional curriculum and approach you offer your students and cannot imagine taking the LSAT without first taking TestMasters. My score on the first TestMasters practice test was a 139. I ended up scoring a 162 on the actual testa score I am personally satisfied with and one that has helped me receive scholarships from every school I have been accepted to so far.

Looking back on my TestMasters experience, I can say that my instructor, Palmer Heenan, deserves the most credit for my success on the LSAT. Palmer is an incredibly dedicated instructor and approaches the art of teaching with true compassion and humility. I can say this because Palmer goes above and beyond for his students, encouraging them to reach out to him via phone and email at almost any time of the day. Moreover, Palmer brings a positive attitude and sense of humor with him to every lesson. He actually enjoys the LSAT, which is kind of crazy, but his attitude is infectious and benefits all of his students. I have been lucky enough in my life to meet certain people who have helped me overcome obstacles when I really needed help. Palmer is one of those people. Thanks so much to TestMasters and Palmer for helping me succeed in the law school admissions process.”

Nicholas Palatucci | UC Berkeley Before TestMasters 160 After TestMasters 179

“TestMasters was the key to my performance on the LSAT. I raised my score by nearly twenty points! My instructor really understood the test and gave his students the tools we needed to beat it. In class we went through each question type in depth so we could understand how it worked. It was much more than just time management and general strategy; we really focused on how to answer each question with confidence. I have recommended TestMasters to everyone who has asked me how to replicate my LSAT score, and will continue to do so.”

The “Before TestMasters” score is from either a pre-course practice LSAT or a pre-course officially administered LSAT, and the “After TestMasters” score is from a post-course officially administered LSAT.
