TestMasters LSAT Course Reviews

Kaitlin Spillane | Notre Dame Before TestMasters 149 After TestMasters 166

“The very first time I took a practice test with TestMasters, I scored a 149, which was disheartening to me. By the end of my class with Chloe Hurley (amazing teacher!), I was scoring up to a 168 on my practice tests and ended up with a 166 on the actual exam, which I was very happy with, especially considering where I started out. I think my experience with Chloe and the great amount of resources available on the TestMasters website really helped to improve my score. Couldn’t have done it without you guysthanks!”

Jason Rosenthal | University of Michigan Before TestMasters 160 After TestMasters 175

“When I received my diagnostic score of 160, I thought to myself that maybe 170 would be attainable with lots of hard work. Now I am sitting here with a 175 with many law school options available to me that I never would have dreamed of before taking the LSAT. The formula for such success consists of attending every TestMasters class, absorbing the methods taught in class, and applying these methods outside the class sessions on the endless number of real LSAT questions that TestMasters provides. TestMasters gives you the problem-solving methods necessary to attack any LSAT question. Some of the methods may not come naturally at first, but you will pick up these skills with continued effort and dedication. And TestMasters provided me with more than just methods for answering questions. My instructor was able to guide my class through the final weeks of preparation and he gave us helpful tips for test day that eliminated any elements of surprise. I am truly thankful to everyone at TestMasters for helping me achieve the LSAT score of my dreams. I can’t imagine having taken any other prep course.”

Miranda Means | University of Chicago Before TestMasters 163 After TestMasters 172

“When I signed up for TestMasters I had never looked at an LSAT question before, let alone taken a practice test. I figured that the structure of a course would motivate me to work harder and take the test seriously. My TestMasters course, however, did much more for me than simply provide structure and motivation. The instructor was not only excellent at formal logic and the skills necessary to perform on the LSAT, but also a remarkably gifted communicator. His ability to explain complex logical problems and to make learning about these problems engaging was, in my opinion, the number one reason I ended up succeeding on the LSAT. TestMasters is a well-organized course with lots of helpful resources, but what makes it really excellent is that they hire top-notch instructors. When I walked into the the test center on test day, I felt I had truly learned the LSAT and knew it would be my last time taking it.”

Jason Ducat | University of Wisconsin Before TestMasters 147 After TestMasters 160

“I chose TestMasters after reviewing several options for LSAT preparation and it was one of the best educational decisions I have ever made. Perhaps doubly so considering how important the LSAT score is. Having finished my undergraduate degree several years ago I was planning on continuing my education when I finally decided on law school. After that decision, the next step was doing everything within my power to put myself in a position to do as well on the LSAT as possible. For me, this meant a structured learning and studying program instead of self-study. In my opinion, this is where TM really separates itself from the packby breaking down the exam into its fundamental concepts and teaching them in a logical, meaningful progression. My practice test scores continued to rise from the first day of the course until the last. Everything that is covered is done so for a reason. But perhaps most importantly, the way in which the material was covered was done so by a knowledgeable, friendly, and professional instructor who genuinely cared how we were learning and performing, and who demonstrated true mastery of the material and concepts covered. I can’t recommend TestMasters and their methodology highly enough.”

Benjamin Faber | Washington University in St. Louis Before TestMasters 163 After TestMasters 177

“The TestMasters self-paced online LSAT course gave me all the tools I could have possibly needed to reach my full potential on the LSAT. The course was a perfect balance of working at my own pace and being held accountable. The required homework ensured that I got enough practice with each type of question, and the vast quantity of supplementary materials let me practice until I got the hang of things. Additionally, the course provided statistical insights into which types of questions I struggled with, which helped focus my studies on problem areas.

The most impressive part of the course was the helpful staff who provided personalized responses in minutes to any question I had. The LSAT can be a frustrating exam, and it is easy to get deterred when you don’t understand why a certain answer is correct. Getting help quickly was an incredibly beneficial aspect of the self-paced course, and it is clear that the team at TestMasters genuinely cares about their students.”

Lydia Wuorinen | Northwestern Before TestMasters 157 After TestMasters 173

“Due to life circumstances, I had to concentrate my studying from July through September for the October exam. There was no way of knowing for certain that I could manage to study thoughtfully with a full-time job, and I worried that I would potentially not feel fully prepared when sitting down to take the LSAT. TestMasters made all the difference. For every missed question I felt confused about, the TestMasters team was there to provide meticulous instruction. With your help, I scored in the 99th percentile on the real test. Words cannot begin to thank you enough. I will highly recommend TestMasters to anyone looking to give the LSAT their best shot. And thank you especially to Megan, Hailey, and Sabrina (who answered one of my questions the morning of the exam!).”

Maura Levine | University of Michigan Before TestMasters 143 After TestMasters 163

“I am so happy I chose TestMasters to prep for the LSAT. The program was very organized, which helped me feel comfortable with the test and reduced my test anxiety. My instructor was approachable, competent, flexible, and willing to explain things in many ways if students didn’t understand. His experience, patience and positive attitude helped me become comfortable with the LSAT and achieve a 20-point score increase! The class gives a specific schedule with homework and explains areas to focus on each week, breaking the test into manageable chunksa great way to tackle a big goal. TestMasters also provided a wealth of practice problems to study and a helpful scoring system to check answers and work specifically on areas that I knew I struggled with. The course was well worth the cost and I am grateful for my helpful instructor and the entire TestMasters staff.”

Emily Ironside | Luther College Before TestMasters 150 After TestMasters 170

“I would highly recommend TestMasters to anyone who is seriously considering law school. TestMasters provides students with every chance for success, from the ample amounts of explanatory material to the bank of LSAT questions to the full-length diagnostics. Moreover, the instructors are not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also very motivational. What I think helped me the most in improving my score was the style of in-class discussion, spending significant time debating answer choices and being put on the spot to say why something is right or wrong. This forced me to really think about why I decided to choose or not choose an answer. For me it was a combination of spending hours poring over homework three or four days a week and the open discussion in class that really helped me improve consistently throughout the course.”

Edward Keating | University of Illinois Before TestMasters 150 After TestMasters 166

“Let me start by saying I have never written a review for any service or product before. I reached out to TestMasters to do this because I feel compelled to vouch for their service and share my experience. Over the course, my score rose from a 150 to a 166 on the actual LSAT. However, it is worth noting that I signed up for TestMasters a day late and took Diagnostic 1 on my own after two weeks of instruction. I say this because 150 may not be an accurate measure of how far I actually came. My score very well may have increased by 20+ points.

Needless to say, I was thrilled with my score and very impressed with TestMasters as a whole. My instructor was an excellent teacher, easy to work with, and always eager to help. In my opinion, he was as good, if not a better teacher than any college professor I had. Also, the materials and resources you have at your disposal are more than sufficient. You are given more real LSAT problems than you could probably use, which is extremely helpful when trying to hone your skills in certain areas that you find difficult.

I could go on about the details of the course, but what matters in LSAT preparation is results. Top 25 schools that I would not have dreamed of applying to have been waiving my application fees in light of my score. A school that I was initially worried about getting admitted into before the class just offered me a full ride. As I see it, the factors that would inhibit someone from taking this course are cost and time. But as I just demonstrated the price of TestMasters is a mere fraction of what you can obtain in scholarship money or the value of getting into a better law school. Also, time is a requirement of doing well on the LSAT and with TestMasters you know that your time is being used efficiently and that you are improving. If you are serious about attending law school, do yourself a favor and sign up. TestMasters will allow you to score to the best of your abilities. I give this course my strongest recommendation.”

Matthew Sienkiewicz | University of Michigan Before TestMasters 157 After TestMasters 176

“My LSAT score redefined possibility. I ended up turning down schools that before TestMasters I had not even dared to dream of. With utterly no hesitation, I am willing to say that TestMasters was essential to my success. There is no substitute for hard work, but without my instructor to effectively and thoroughly teach me the logical principles underlying the test, all the hard work in the world would have been for naught. While I cannot speak for other companies’ strategies for taking the LSAT, as I haven’t used them, TestMasters’ strategies work. I can think of no higher endorsement. TestMasters instills a firm grasp of all the necessary principles as well as effective test taking techniques, and, perhaps just as importantly, brings you into effectively structured contact with the entire available range of past test materials. As with hard work, there is no substitute for comprehensive exposure and that is exactly what TestMasters provides. If you are thinking at all of taking the LSAT, take TestMasters. It’s that simple.”

Phillip Turner | Henderson State University Before TestMasters 142 After TestMasters 164

“Taking the TestMasters class was probably the best decision I have ever made. Our teacher genuinely cared about us and devoted ample time to everything we studied. He also had a knack for knowing exactly how to explain hard concepts. And speaking of learning the concepts, this course had it all. All of the LSAT sections were covered in incredible detail with a foolproof way of mastering them.

The class is intense and we were given homework of biblical proportions. But the online videos with the step-by-step walkthrough with Robin Singh made it easy, and the entire online portal was simply amazing. It had comprehensive written and video breakdowns from Robin of individual questions and concepts, interactive and competitive vocab quizzes, a list of every type of flawed reasoning the LSAT has tested, and more. This is what makes the TestMasters system so solid. Only this course trains and gives you the best LSAT test takers as teachers, mountains of coursework with proven methods of success, and a members-only website filled with extra classes. TestMasters raised my score twenty-two points from a 142 to a 164! I just got my first full-ride letter in the mail yesterday and owe it all to TestMasters. I would recommend the course a hundred times over.”

Peyton Lee | Northwestern Before TestMasters 166 After TestMasters 180

“TestMasters was the best decision I could have made to prepare for the LSAT. Their method of breaking down question types and teaching strategies for approaching them was incredibly helpful and my instructor was awesome. The materials provided had everything I could possibly need to prepare and more real LSAT questions for practice than I could possibly finish. I recommend TestMasters to anyone who is serious about doing their best on the LSAT.”
