TestMasters LSAT Course Reviews

“I first learned of TestMasters when my pre-law organization held an LSAT workshop through the company. I really liked the instructor and the way he taught us to approach each type of question on the exam. I decided soon after to take their course. After the first day, I knew it would help me so much. My course instructor was incredibly helpful and qualified, and there were a vast amount of resources available to me. The course design really enables students to improve their scores. I know I would not have done nearly as well on the LSAT had I not taken the TestMasters course.”

“I took TestMasters with Chloe Hurley in preparation for the LSAT. When I first started, it was the first time I had ever seen the test and my score was a disappointing 143. With the help of TestMasters, I was able to score a 167 on the real thing after only twelve weeks of study. Chloe was consistently energetic and upbeat even though the class was from 7 to 10 at night and she made the course as interesting as possible, even through some especially tedious and frustrating material. She consistently answered all my questions, no matter how annoying or repetitive they were, in the most thorough ways possible and never made me feel dumb (even though sometimes I probably was). In the rare instance that she didn’t quite know the best explanation for something, she would go out of her way to find out the answer and relay it to the class. She was great and I would highly recommend her class to anyone preparing for the LSAT.
Beyond that, I was able to consistently watch refresher videos of Robin Singh teaching the lessons online, which was always helpful, especially after a particularly exhausting evening or a particularly difficult concept that needed a little more practice. Beyond that, the online academic support is literally the best. It’s like having a tutor without the extra cost – any question I had, they consistently made sure to answer in the best way possible. One moment stands out: there was this one instructor that recognized I was being lazy in my formulating of questions because I just wanted it explained to me without actually thinking why I got the wrong answer. She told me “I’m going to push back and I want you to explain what your actually thinking on this was”. At first I was irked at this because as we all know when you don’t understand something, it’s easy (and less embarrassing ) to just say explain it to me, but after a few times of this, I would get halfway through trying to explain my thought process and literally say “OH, that’s where I went wrong” and I can’t be more appreciative to her for making me work harder. This class obviously requires work (a lot of it), no one’s going to be doing it for you, but if you put the time and effort in, the support system is there to guide you through it and help you get the best score you can.”

“Unlike other LSAT prep courses which try and teach tricks to answer LSAT questions or how to make your best guess, TestMasters teaches you how to find the correct answer every time. They teach you why that answer is right and every other answer is clearly wrong. They dont take any shortcuts in their teaching methods and instead teach you how to think like the test writers. I loved going to my class and this made studying that much easier. My instructor not only took time to answer all of our questions, she encouraged us to challenge her thinking, until it was clear in all of our minds why the correct answer was correct. I ended up raising my score 30 points because TestMasters taught me how to think like the LSAT.”

“I initially heard about TestMasters through my older brother who took the course and scored a 172 on his LSAT. He recommended it highly so I figured it was worth trying. I started out by getting a 164 on my first diagnostic, but, after meeting my instructor, Amelia Brasher, I was optimistic that my score could improve. She was intelligent, energetic, fun, and, most importantly, genuinely interested in seeing us all do well.
The classes were well designed and incredibly effective. They taught all of the necessary methods and tools for taking the test. The homeworks, while often extremely long, really helped solidify the lessons that were taught in the preceding classes. Furthermore, the TestMasters website was an essential resource for additional study material.
By the end of the course my diagnostic scores were routinely in the mid-170s. I felt that the TestMasters program had adequately prepared me for the actual LSAT. By the time the test day rolled around I felt comfortable and confident, having practiced this day so many times with TestMasters. I ended up getting a 179, much better than I ever could have imagined on my first day in the program.
I owe a tremendous amount of my success to TestMasters for providing me with all of the tools that are necessary in order to do well on the LSAT. They made sure I was well prepared for the test, as well as the test day itself. I highly recommend this fantastic service. If you want to improve your score, and are willing to put in the necessary work to do that, then take TestMasters. You won’t be sorry.”

“Taking the TestMasters LSAT prep class was the best decision I made regarding the law school admissions process. Their tried-and-true method of tackling the LSAT gave me the necessary tools to succeed on test day. The score increase I experienced as a result of taking this course opened many doors that were previously closed. Thanks TestMasters!”

“I was referred to TestMasters by a friend who had recently taken the LSAT. After I did some research and checked schedules, it seemed as though the TestMasters course was the best fit for me, and that proved to be the case. Its creator, Robin Singh, has broken down the LSAT into components/types of questions and set them up in a way thats easily digested. They have a lot of good techniques for getting to the correct answer. Also, for the two-plus months that I spent studying for the LSAT, the TestMasters website was my best friend. The site is clear and easy to navigate and has pretty much everything an LSAT student might need.
I knew I had the potential to do well on the LSAT but I was not sure how I was going to get there. TestMasters was the answer.”

“I never thought I would see a 15-point improvement from my original diagnostic to my final score on the June LSAT—and I probably would not have without TestMasters! The instructor created a relaxed yet engaging learning environment, where students were not intimidated to ask questions; she was very helpful and was even willing to provide advice to students after class. TestMasters is not out to provide future law students with an easy way out; enrolling in a TestMasters prep course means committing to a significant amount of time and work. (It was certainly a challenge for me to juggle the TestMasters workload along with my regular school work.) There are no tricks and shortcuts to the LSAT. As I took more practice tests and did more work on my own, I realized that in class, I was learning a new way of thinking that made me comfortable with almost any problem that I encountered. Unlike some other prep methods that teach somewhat rigid formulas for cracking the LSAT, TestMasters teaches a more universal method that can help someone break down and solve any problem. In addition, TestMasters provides an abundance of resources, like written and video explanations, which were especially helpful. Copious amounts of practice materials from sets of logical reasoning questions to full-length practice tests allowed me to grow more and more comfortable with the test as I prepared. These opportunities to familiarize myself with the test really came in handy come test day. Thank you, TestMasters!!”

“I would certainly recommend taking the TestMasters course to anyone interested in taking the LSAT. In the summer I decided I would register to take the September LSAT, and I signed up for the TestMasters course only days before the first diagnostic. Due to the instruction I received at TestMasters, my score quickly rose into the 170s on my diagnostics, and I scored a 172 on the real LSAT. I am not naturally a logical person, so I was pleased with this score. My TestMasters instructor was a vibrant teacher who was clearly committed to helping each student reach his or her highest potential. Taking TestMasters was also helpful because it familiarized me with the material on the LSAT and presented the underlying logic of the LSAC test writers. By the end of the course, I had a solid understanding not only of why certain answers were correct, but also of why LSAC had asked the question in the first place and why the question was framed that way. I had learned what LSAC was testing on each question. This improved my timing, as I learned to predict the right answer from the question stem before I had read any of the answer options. This also helped my performance on the more difficult questions, as I was able to move beyond the convoluted language and bizarre inverted sentences to discern the logic behind the questions.”

“I absolutely loved the TestMasters course! Our instructor Hailey Evans encouraged everyone in the class to participate and provided individualized feedback and answers to questions, which, in turn, enabled her to really cater to each of our strengths and weaknesses. We also learned from each other’s questions as well as from the planned lessons and course materials. This process of learning as a group demonstrated for me how well the TestMasters methodology truly worked. Although we each came in with a different way of looking at questions and a different degree of preexisting aptitude, the skills and tools that we were learning could be systematically applied to any given question by each of us.
I personally felt that this course made two major contributions to my test taking. The first was that when I chose an answer, I almost always knew with confidence exactly why that was the correct answer, as opposed to just feeling as though it was. The second contribution was the sheer volume of questions that we completed and reviewed, both on our own and in class, within the framework of given lessons. I became so familiar with the way that the LSAT writers structure their various questions and the common types of sucker choice answers, that I quickly began to see red flags in answer choices that I otherwise might have had a much harder time eliminating. This allowed me to get through the test questions more quickly while at the same time getting fewer wrong answers.”

“I have nothing but good things to say about the TestMasters LSAT prep course. I went into studying for the LSAT without knowing a single thing about the test, the structure, or what to study. The only thing I knew was that I wanted to go to law school. I signed up for TestMasters, and boy it was a lot of work. I studied for exactly three-and-a-half months, day-in, day-out, and every minute was worth it. Without TestMasters and my extremely supportive instructor I could not have gotten to where I am today.”

“When I decided to pursue law school, I was nervous about the LSAT because, in general, I did not perform well on standardized tests and I knew nothing about this particular test. My friend recommended I sign up for the TestMasters course because he did so and had fantastic results. Thankfully, I listened to him. I was crushed after I scored a 145 on my first diagnostic because I thought my dream of attending law school was over. I thought it would be impossible to achieve my goal of 160, and I considered giving up. However, my TestMasters instructor explained to me that the first test means nothing and told me about success stories of students improving by 20+ points, which made me believe that with TestMasters a 160 was still possible. Not only did I reach my goal, I far exceeded it. I am now receiving scholarships at schools that I first labeled as reaches, and I am a competitive applicant at schools that I used to only dream about attending. My 23-point increase is indicative of the incredibly effective methods taught by TestMasters to answer all of the different types of questions on the test as well as the dedicated and highly knowledgeable instructors.”

“TestMasters in general and my class instructor in particular have my undying thanks. I could not have gotten a 178 on the LSAT without TestMasters. From little things like the fact that an either/or construct implies ‘or both’ to bigger things like the proper way to diagram sufficient/necessary statements, the things I learned from the classes and materials were absolutely instrumental to my LSAT success.
My instructor was a great guy and at least as great a teacher. He was appropriately serious but maintained a sense of humor to leaven what can be a very stressful, anxious process of preparation. He was thorough but not ponderous and always made sure to address any lingering questions. TestMasters is an intensive course—6 hours of class a week could be rough, but he was able to make sure that the course was intensive without being intense. I feel lucky that he was my instructor.
More generally, the TestMasters course is very well put-together. The lessons are clear and the wealth of prep materials is astounding. I took the LSAT twice, and had more than enough practice questions with which to prepare for each. The strategies, tips, and advice are never less than spot-on and made a world of difference. I knew going in that it would require a high degree of self-motivation, but TestMasters makes it easy to apply oneself fully to the task.
I had several friends who insisted I take TestMasters. Having scored a 166 on my first prep test (without having done any prep), I was hesitant to put in the time and money. I am SO glad that I listened to them and made the investment.”
