TestMasters LSAT Course Reviews
| Dani Resnick | Yeshiva University | Before TestMasters 153 | After TestMasters 170 |
“Before starting to study for the LSAT I was very nervous about how I would do on the test. I had heard about all these really smart kids and how they were doing amazing, but I thought there was no way I would be able to compete. The TestMasters course taught me how to think in a new way and how to apply this new form of thinking to the questions and answers. The private tutoring I additionally purchased helped me with personal things that I was struggling with, and the online explanations were so helpful in making things clear. I have a bunch of other friends who are also taking TestMasters and love it, and I would recommend TestMasters to anyone studying for the LSAT.”

“When I decided to pursue law school, I was nervous about the LSAT because, in general, I did not perform well on standardized tests and I knew nothing about this particular test. My friend recommended I sign up for the TestMasters course because he did so and had fantastic results. Thankfully, I listened to him. I was crushed after I scored a 145 on my first diagnostic because I thought my dream of attending law school was over. I thought it would be impossible to achieve my goal of 160, and I considered giving up. However, my TestMasters instructor explained to me that the first test means nothing and told me about success stories of students improving by 20+ points, which made me believe that with TestMasters a 160 was still possible. Not only did I reach my goal, I far exceeded it. I am now receiving scholarships at schools that I first labeled as reaches, and I am a competitive applicant at schools that I used to only dream about attending. My 23-point increase is indicative of the incredibly effective methods taught by TestMasters to answer all of the different types of questions on the test as well as the dedicated and highly knowledgeable instructors.”

“Unlike other LSAT prep courses which try and teach tricks to answer LSAT questions or how to make your best guess, TestMasters teaches you how to find the correct answer every time. They teach you why that answer is right and every other answer is clearly wrong. They dont take any shortcuts in their teaching methods and instead teach you how to think like the test writers. I loved going to my class and this made studying that much easier. My instructor not only took time to answer all of our questions, she encouraged us to challenge her thinking, until it was clear in all of our minds why the correct answer was correct. I ended up raising my score 30 points because TestMasters taught me how to think like the LSAT.”

“To be honest, I’ve always been wary of test preparation programs because so many of them promise the world and then fall far short on delivery. TestMasters, on the other hand, truly stands apart. When I took my first diagnostic test, I scored a 166. Because I was actually pretty satisfied by this score without any preparation, I wondered how much TestMasters could help. When I received my score from test day and saw that I got a 177, I got my answer. I am very excited about my application possibilities now and I couldn’t have done it without TestMasters.
The key to the program’s success is its total mastery of the test itself. Robin Singh and his team have developed an intensive course that leaves no stone unturned and no concept untouched. No matter what your skill level is when you enter into the program, TestMasters sees to it that you excel. Many test preparation programs teach you tricks to try to get around the questions, but TestMasters teaches you how to beat the test makers at their own game. By the end of the course, I felt like I already knew the answer after reading the question stem. And by the time I walked into the test center and saw other students who were nervous, I was able to relax because I knew that I had been prepared by the best.
No matter what score you start off with, TestMasters can help you reach your goal score and beyond. I can’t emphasize enough how amazing of a program TestMasters is. Forget the other LSAT study guides, forget other prep classes, TestMasters is all you need to destroy the LSAT when test day comes around. I certainly would not have a 177 without TestMasters, and for that I will always be thankful.”

“I cannot say enough good things about TestMasters. My instructor was the man, an absolutely awesome teacher. I started off with zero knowledge of the LSAT and ended up with the score that I really wanted. Of course I had to put in the time and work to achieve it but TestMasters paved the way for me. I recommend TestMasters to everyone who is planning on taking the LSAT.”

“As someone who typically studies independently, I was hesitant to enroll in a prep course to prepare for the LSAT, but I felt that the structure of a class that meets multiple times a week, assigns homework, and provides practice tests would be beneficial, especially since I was working full-time. A friend of mine recommended TestMasters, so after a little bit of research I enrolled and could not have made a better decision.
I hadnt had much exposure to the content of the LSAT prior to registering for TestMasters. I had seen a sample question or two before, but I never tried my hand at a practice test prior to my first day of class with TestMasters. After going in cold and seeing my results, I knew I had a lot to learn. I developed a tremendous appreciation for the TestMasters curriculum after just a couple of lessons, as it is extremely well-designed and is meant to teach you all the skills you need from the ground up. Each additional lesson builds on the last and ultimately prepares you to tackle any type of logical reasoning or reading comprehension question you could possibly encounter on test day. In addition, TestMasters provides so much course content that buying additional prep books or study guides is a waste of money. As a TestMasters student, you have at your disposal thousands of practice questions, all of which appeared on actual LSAT exams, as well as detailed video and written explanations for these questions. Furthermore, TestMasters has instructors standing by through the ‘Academic Support’ section of its website who will answer any questions you have about the material within 24 hours. The course also provides students with full-length practice tests and detailed analyses of their performance. This was crucial to my preparation, as it gave me a great deal of insight into my own progress, outlining exactly what I had mastered and exactly what I still needed to work on.
In addition to the TestMasters curriculum, I owe much of my success to my in-class instructor, who was nothing short of phenomenal as a teacher and mentor. She had a wealth of knowledge and was always ready to break down any difficult question or concept that was giving us trouble. Her patience and poise were critical in helping us become comfortable with the content of the LSAT and what acing the exam would require of us. It was clear she wanted us to succeed and believed that we could, and I cannot thank her enough for all of her support.
I had a fantastic experience with TestMasters and I strongly recommend it to anyone willing to work hard and take advantage of all of the resources that this intensive and comprehensive course makes available to its students. If you put in the time and effort, enrolling in a TestMasters LSAT course is worth every penny.”

“Signing up for TestMasters is one of the best decisions I made with regard to the LSAT. The program is extremely thorough and the materials are extensive beyond what I could have imagined. The online dashboard was invaluable. I cant imagine taking the LSAT without having prepared through TestMasters. My teacher was incredibly knowledgeable and always able to answer any questions I had. TestMasters is the best of the best, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality LSAT course. I couldnt have gotten the score I got without TestMasters!”
| Blair Nelson | NYU | Before TestMasters 164 | After TestMasters 175 |
“Before TestMasters, I felt overwhelmed by the idea of the LSAT and was unsure of how to begin preparing for the test. The structure of the TestMasters course and their method of breaking down different question types was exactly what I needed to make the test feel manageable. My instructor was fantastic and kept the class entertaining while presenting the massive amount of material very clearly.
My score didn’t change much from the first diagnostic test to the second, but I already felt much more confident with the material and knew I would improve. In the last few weeks of the course I was consistently scoring 10 points above my starting point on practice tests. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the course to anyone planning on taking the LSAT—the skill of the instructors, the amount of prep materials provided, and the online resources absolutely make the class worth the cost.”
| Amy Duncan | Barnard College | Before TestMasters 174 | After TestMasters 179 |
“I absolutely loved the TestMasters course! Our instructor Hailey Evans encouraged everyone in the class to participate and provided individualized feedback and answers to questions, which, in turn, enabled her to really cater to each of our strengths and weaknesses. We also learned from each other’s questions as well as from the planned lessons and course materials. This process of learning as a group demonstrated for me how well the TestMasters methodology truly worked. Although we each came in with a different way of looking at questions and a different degree of preexisting aptitude, the skills and tools that we were learning could be systematically applied to any given question by each of us.
I personally felt that this course made two major contributions to my test taking. The first was that when I chose an answer, I almost always knew with confidence exactly why that was the correct answer, as opposed to just feeling as though it was. The second contribution was the sheer volume of questions that we completed and reviewed, both on our own and in class, within the framework of given lessons. I became so familiar with the way that the LSAT writers structure their various questions and the common types of sucker choice answers, that I quickly began to see red flags in answer choices that I otherwise might have had a much harder time eliminating. This allowed me to get through the test questions more quickly while at the same time getting fewer wrong answers.”

“After deciding to take the LSAT, I did not know which approach was best to study for the test. Some of the pre-law students on my campus were using self-study regimes, but the thought of studying for the test on my own seemed daunting. It was not a coincidence that the people that I talked to who did the best on the LSAT had also taken the TestMasters course. After doing some more research online, it became clear to me that TestMasters was definitely the best option. The course provides more than enough resources to be successful on the exam and the diagnostics I took each week were crucial to keeping track of my progress. I could have never improved 16 points on my own and I am so thankful I chose to take the TestMasters course.”

“I took TestMasters with Chloe Hurley in preparation for the LSAT. When I first started, it was the first time I had ever seen the test and my score was a disappointing 143. With the help of TestMasters, I was able to score a 167 on the real thing after only twelve weeks of study. Chloe was consistently energetic and upbeat even though the class was from 7 to 10 at night and she made the course as interesting as possible, even through some especially tedious and frustrating material. She consistently answered all my questions, no matter how annoying or repetitive they were, in the most thorough ways possible and never made me feel dumb (even though sometimes I probably was). In the rare instance that she didn’t quite know the best explanation for something, she would go out of her way to find out the answer and relay it to the class. She was great and I would highly recommend her class to anyone preparing for the LSAT.
Beyond that, I was able to consistently watch refresher videos of Robin Singh teaching the lessons online, which was always helpful, especially after a particularly exhausting evening or a particularly difficult concept that needed a little more practice. Beyond that, the online academic support is literally the best. It’s like having a tutor without the extra cost – any question I had, they consistently made sure to answer in the best way possible. One moment stands out: there was this one instructor that recognized I was being lazy in my formulating of questions because I just wanted it explained to me without actually thinking why I got the wrong answer. She told me “I’m going to push back and I want you to explain what your actually thinking on this was”. At first I was irked at this because as we all know when you don’t understand something, it’s easy (and less embarrassing ) to just say explain it to me, but after a few times of this, I would get halfway through trying to explain my thought process and literally say “OH, that’s where I went wrong” and I can’t be more appreciative to her for making me work harder. This class obviously requires work (a lot of it), no one’s going to be doing it for you, but if you put the time and effort in, the support system is there to guide you through it and help you get the best score you can.”

“TestMasters in general and my class instructor in particular have my undying thanks. I could not have gotten a 178 on the LSAT without TestMasters. From little things like the fact that an either/or construct implies ‘or both’ to bigger things like the proper way to diagram sufficient/necessary statements, the things I learned from the classes and materials were absolutely instrumental to my LSAT success.
My instructor was a great guy and at least as great a teacher. He was appropriately serious but maintained a sense of humor to leaven what can be a very stressful, anxious process of preparation. He was thorough but not ponderous and always made sure to address any lingering questions. TestMasters is an intensive course—6 hours of class a week could be rough, but he was able to make sure that the course was intensive without being intense. I feel lucky that he was my instructor.
More generally, the TestMasters course is very well put-together. The lessons are clear and the wealth of prep materials is astounding. I took the LSAT twice, and had more than enough practice questions with which to prepare for each. The strategies, tips, and advice are never less than spot-on and made a world of difference. I knew going in that it would require a high degree of self-motivation, but TestMasters makes it easy to apply oneself fully to the task.
I had several friends who insisted I take TestMasters. Having scored a 166 on my first prep test (without having done any prep), I was hesitant to put in the time and money. I am SO glad that I listened to them and made the investment.”
