TestMasters LSAT Course Reviews
| Liz Alspector | Carnegie Mellon University | Before TestMasters 161 | After TestMasters 176 |
“My TestMasters teacher was so great. Not only was he completely clear with his explanations of LSAT questions, but he was really funny and kept the entire class entertained. If I hadnt taken the TestMasters course, I would probably now be applying to a whole different caliber of schools. Getting my LSAT score back and achieving way past my goal was well worth the time and effort that I put into the course.”

“Taking the self-paced TestMasters online course was an amazing experience that I truly will never regret. Going into my first diagnostic test, I had no idea about the underlying concepts of the LSAT or how to approach the different questions; and my score reflected that, as I did poorly by my standards. It was a tough challenge as I had to balance my spring semester coursework with the rigorous TestMasters course in preparation for the June LSAT. However, the course proved well worth the investment and I performed better than I expected on test day. I was extremely happy with my results, and I feel that I could not have had a chance of getting into my dream law school without the assistance of TestMasters. And for that, I am very thankful.”
| Steven Green | University of Pennsylvania | Before TestMasters 166 | After TestMasters 177 |
“To be honest, I’ve always been wary of test preparation programs because so many of them promise the world and then fall far short on delivery. TestMasters, on the other hand, truly stands apart. When I took my first diagnostic test, I scored a 166. Because I was actually pretty satisfied by this score without any preparation, I wondered how much TestMasters could help. When I received my score from test day and saw that I got a 177, I got my answer. I am very excited about my application possibilities now and I couldn’t have done it without TestMasters.
The key to the program’s success is its total mastery of the test itself. Robin Singh and his team have developed an intensive course that leaves no stone unturned and no concept untouched. No matter what your skill level is when you enter into the program, TestMasters sees to it that you excel. Many test preparation programs teach you tricks to try to get around the questions, but TestMasters teaches you how to beat the test makers at their own game. By the end of the course, I felt like I already knew the answer after reading the question stem. And by the time I walked into the test center and saw other students who were nervous, I was able to relax because I knew that I had been prepared by the best.
No matter what score you start off with, TestMasters can help you reach your goal score and beyond. I can’t emphasize enough how amazing of a program TestMasters is. Forget the other LSAT study guides, forget other prep classes, TestMasters is all you need to destroy the LSAT when test day comes around. I certainly would not have a 177 without TestMasters, and for that I will always be thankful.”

“The aspect that really appears to distinguish TestMasters from other LSAT prep companies is the thought they put into the design and execution of their course. This not only includes a well-designed schedule of classes and diagnostic tests, but due diligence with regard to the selection of their instructors. A friend of mine who took Kaplan said he felt like he was wasting his money because the instructor was basically reading out of the book. TestMasters instructors have had success themselves on the LSAT, and teach you the questions in a substantive, explanatory manner, without simply just giving you the right answer. Add to this the wealth of practice materials and score breakdowns they provide and you’ve got the premier LSAT preparation course out there!”
| Stephanie Lax | Temple University | Before TestMasters 154 | After TestMasters 176 |
“TestMasters is hands down the best investment Ive ever made. I went up 22 points from my initial diagnostic solely from studying TestMasters methods and materials. Our instructor was an LSAT expert who could answer any question we had. He made himself available for as long as we needed help, no matter how much time it took. If you commit the time to use all that TestMasters has to offer, you will see a huge improvement in your score and your competitiveness in the application process. The cost of the class will be paid back tenfold in the forms of fee waivers, scholarships, and career opportunities based on your LSAT score. With my LSAT score increase, Im now competitive at the top 14 schools as compared to schools ranked in the sixties and seventies with my initial diagnostic score.”
| Jillian Wang | University of Pennsylvania | Before TestMasters 159 | After TestMasters 167 |
“The rigorous curriculum of the TestMasters LSAT course adequately prepared me for anything I could have encountered on test day. After TestMasters, I think Ive just about seen everything there is to see on the LSAT since before I was born! Robin Singhs brilliant insider perspective is well worth every penny I spent for the course.
However, it was the support base at TestMasters which I believe gave me the extra boost I needed to take my score up to the next level. Truly, the quality of instruction at TestMasters is unparalleled. Not only was I confident in my instructors abilities, knowing they had gone through rigorous training and already gained acceptance to top law schools in the country, but they also helped me to become more confident in my own ability. From the start, my instructors were enthusiastic and motivational, which helped keep my energy level up during class. I was most impressed by their dedication to their students; they regularly offered me words of encouragement and seasoned advice about not only the test, but also the law school admissions process and their own experiences.”

“I can confidently say that I could not have chosen a better LSAT prep program than TestMasters. The program is incredibly well-structured, and through the online course, private tutoring, and guidance from my instructors, Rachel Sheffield and Debra Freeman, I was able to approach the LSAT with confidence. The online course and tutoring helped strengthen my understanding of the LSAT and its core concepts. I truly believe I would not have made the progress I did without the TestMasters program, and I strongly recommend it to anyone pursuing LSAT preparation!”
| Steven Leiser-Mitchell | Kenyon College | Before TestMasters 157 | After TestMasters 172 |
“I cannot recommend TestMasters highly enough. The TestMasters class provided me with the structure and motivation, not to mention peer support, that I needed to increase my score. My instructor assured me that the LSAT was an eminently learnable test, and that by doing the massive amounts of assigned homework, I would come to recognize the flaws in a given argument, make deductions, and avoid potential pitfalls. The customized score reports were an incredibly useful tool for breaking down your practice tests—seeing what types of questions you got wrong and why you missed them. By exam day, I had taken 14 practice tests, and was consistently scoring above 170. I was thrilled with my 172, and I owe a great deal to my instructor and TestMasters.”
| Justin Fung | Cornell | Before TestMasters 167 | After TestMasters 180 |
“Like many other LSAT test takers, I initially had my doubts about how effective a prep course could be, but TestMasters far surpassed my expectations. The wealth of resources made available to me after signing up for the course ensured that I would never run out of practice material. The instructor for my course was constantly challenging and encouraging the class to go beyond getting the right answer to understanding the questions. Make no mistake—this prep course is not for those hoping to find an easy solution. I put in at least five to ten additional hours a week into preparation and finished every LSAT question in the curriculum. I ended up jumping 13 points from my first practice LSAT, 167, to end up with a 180 on the real exam. If you take TestMasters seriously, you can succeed also.”
| Ben Reed | Haverford College | Before TestMasters 149 | After TestMasters 171 |
“Intro: I came into the LSAT TestMasters class 20 months removed from college, brain ice cold, never having seen an LSAT question before. On my first diagnostic I got a 149. Four months later I was staring, jaw-dropped, at an email telling me I got an LSAT score of 171. 98th percentile baby. This is my story.
I was getting ready to call Princeton Review to sign up for their LSAT class. For no other reason than I knew it existed, and Princeton sounded smart. Yes, Im a marketing sucker. Fortunately, a friend of mine had taken the LSAT previously and recommended something called TestMasters. ‘Why?’ I wanted to know, should I drop the extra money for something I had never heard of? Her response: ‘It actually teaches you logic. And Ive seen materials from other classes—they dont compare to TestMasters.’ I checked her wallet for a TestMasters employment ID card - none existed. I was convinced and I signed up.
I took the spring class in New York in preparation for the June test. From the start I knew Id made the right choice. For the first 5 weeks, stopwatches dont exist. Its about getting the questions right, understanding why, understanding what the question is asking, and most importantly understanding the logic behind it all. My instructor was a great teacher for this. She was patient with every question and explained everything to us ‘like we were 6-year-olds’ to steal a Denzel quote from ‘Philadelphia.’ This was critical - the LSAT is unlike any test youve ever taken. Every word matters, every word thats NOT there matters, every comma matters, and to assume will make an...well you know the expression.
What works at TestMasters is the methodical pace and timing of the classes. Each class focuses on specific question types, and the repetitions in the homework hammer the lesson home. The next class builds off of the concepts learned from the previous class. If youre building a little ‘logic house’ in your brain, each class is a brick of its own that cannot be laid until the previous layer has settled in. Once the lessons ended, there was enough extra material to work through my weaknesses until I was satisfied. By the beginning of June, I was doing—literally and figuratively—LSAT questions in my sleep.
TestMasters is geared towards teaching you to think the way law schools want you to think. Its not all about test-taking tricks or memorization; the focus of the class was to provide a theoretical foundation upon which to build your understanding of the test. Do the work, show up to class, and take the diagnostics seriously, and there is no reason you cant see a 22-point jump in your score like I did. I was looking at state schools before—now the top 10 is within reach. I have my teacher and TestMasters to thank.”
| Gabrielle Olivieri | Federal University of Rio de Janeiro | Before TestMasters 133 | After TestMasters 164 |
“Because of TestMasters incredible program and the dedication of my incredibly knowledgeable teacher, I had a score improvement of over 30 points and was accepted to top law schools such as George Washington, William & Mary, and the University of Minnesota, along with generous scholarship offers. Make no mistake, it takes lots of dedication and focus, but TestMasters prepares you step by step so that you can reach your goals. I would strongly recommend TestMasters to anyone who aims to get accepted to a reputable school.”
| Tomas Kisielius | Georgetown | Before TestMasters 159 | After TestMasters 180 |
“The TestMasters course set me up to be primed and poised going into the LSAT. The class sessions provided clear demonstrations of how to approach different types of questions, and the homework and practice drills cemented these approaches. I found the video explanations of difficult review problems to be particularly helpful as I studied on my own, as they ensured that I always understood why I chose the wrong answer. My instructor, Anthony Meni, was an experienced teacher who consistently engaged with the class. He made an effort to know what was going on in the lives of students, which allowed him to give more personalized advice on studying. He always made himself available outside of class to answer questions, and this was especially helpful as I tried to schedule practice tests and review work optimally in the several weeks right before the LSAT. Most importantly, he instilled in me the mentality that should be used to approach the actual test, which helped me more than any amount of content review could have.”
