TestMasters LSAT Course Reviews
| Katherine Mitchell | University of Richmond | Before TestMasters 162 | After TestMasters 175 |
“I cannot recommend TestMasters enough. I heard about the course from a friend who was urged to choose TestMasters over other test prep companies by her college’s pre-law advisors. I had attempted to study on my own and was scheduled to take the test, but I was disappointed that I kept scoring in the low 160s with no sign of improvement. At the last minute, I decided to postpone taking the LSAT and signed up for the course. One of the main reasons I took the class was to take diagnostics under official test-taking conditions, but I got so much more out of it than that. My instructor was the best! He addressed every question we had while keeping the pace fast enough to be interesting, and he made the class fun. By attending every meeting and doing the homework, I was able to increase my score to a 175, even with a full-time job. I work at a law firm and even my bosses were impressed! I actually did better on the real LSAT than I had done on my last couple diagnostics, and that was due to the confidence I gained from taking TestMasters.”

“I recommend TestMasters completely. The course was very engaging and beneficial and the way it was taught made attending class enjoyable. For example, the way the materials were organized and divided made it easy to compartmentalize the tools to solve each type of question and made the information easier to manage. It was especially important that we met twice a week, three hours at a time, so that when test day came I felt comfortable working for that long of a time period. The homework questions were extremely helpful because they were all from real exams. The diagnostics helped with both timing and mental preparation for test day. TestMasters is the best in LSAT preparation.”

“After taking TestMasters, there is no doubt in my mind that it is the best LSAT prep course out there. After taking Princeton Review courses for various other standardized tests such as the SAT, it was a relief that TestMasters does not resort to ‘tricks’ that supposedly increase your score without much effort. Rather, the TestMasters course goes to great lengths to truly make everyone understand the test and the logic behind each and every type of question. Moreover, there is no end to the practice problems available. On test day, I knew exactly what to expect and felt 100% prepared. Thanks to the TestMasters course, I was able to dramatically increase my score, which will do wonders for my chances of getting into top law schools.”

“At first the TestMasters course seemed like a big commitment, but in the long run I felt it actually saved me a lot of time. I tried self-studying but realized it was too inefficient; I lost a lot of time just searching for (and often failing to find) explanations that addressed my specific problems.
I found TestMasters to be invaluable to my LSAT prep. In addition to a searchable archive of every published LSAT question, TestMasters provides a score report for each test so you can see what types of questions you consistently struggle with. Instructors have access to this information so they can tailor reviews to students specific problems, and I often consulted the academic support team for further explanations. My in-class instructor was really enthusiastic and always encouraged us not to be intimidated by the LSAT which made studying for it a lot less tedious. By the end of the course I had done so many practice problems and full tests that when I finally took my LSAT, I wasn’t nervous because I felt I had prepared well.”

“I first heard about TestMasters through a friend who took the class and scored a 165. Her recommendation plus the results she got were enough for me to consider signing up. I had recently completed graduate school and took the summer off before starting work. I studied business in undergrad and graduate school and wanted to do something to ensure I got the best score I was capable of (so that I would only have to take the test once). I purchased two different LSAT books but without the classroom environment, self-study proved futile. I spoke with a different friend who took a LSAT class with Kaplan, and while she was happy with the class, she wasn’t satisfied with her score.
I visited the TestMasters website and saw that there was a class offered in my area. I registered for the class and looked forward to getting started. I took the first practice test with very little preparation and scored a 156. Shannon Sanders (our instructor) also took the time to explain the LSAT, how it factors into your application to law school, and what we needed to do as students to get the most out of the class.
TestMasters is definitely a rigorous program. By the end of the course you’ve seen every type of question you might see on the LSAT and you have enough practice to know how to approach the question, how to answer the question, how to recognize a right answer and how to recognize a wrong answer. At first all the questions seem overwhelming, but Shannon provided a system for us to see every type of question even if we couldn’t complete all the homework in between classes.
TestMasters’ diagnostic scoring is very helpful. In addition to knowing what score you would have received on the real LSAT and seeing which questions you got right and wrong, you also get a detailed report showing how you did on each specific question type. These reports allowed me to focus on my weakest areas as my test date approached.
I scored my highest on the final practice test, a 167. On the real thing I got a 165. There is no way I would’ve been able to achieve that without TestMasters!”

“At first, I was leery of taking an online course since Ive consistently done better in a classroom environment than by myself with a computer screen. But I just couldnt turn away from the glowing reviews of TestMasters. I signed up for the self-paced version of their online LSAT course, and I havent regretted it for a moment since. The online interface was intuitive, and I never felt as if I was studying by myself. From the video lectures to the drills and practice questions to the personalized academic support, TestMasters was a 360-degree studying experience.”

“I am a high school math teacher, and that means working incredibly long hours. The TestMasters self-paced online course gave me the flexibility to study with my busy schedule. The online system is very straightforward and easy to follow. After watching the videos accompanying a lesson (usually about three hours), I would then complete the homework. Only after completing the homework can you go on to the next lesson, which ensures accountability and focus. This course would have been hard for me to do in person, but the online system allowed me to break up the lessons into an hour here or there, instead of committing to three straight hours during busy workweeks. This flexibility was key.
Additionally, Robin Singh really gets to the heart of the exam. I felt like I understood every part of the test so well that I was not nervous about anything unexpected popping up on test day. Instead, I felt confident about my plan of attack, about the types of questions, about the format, and about the endurance needed to make it through the entire test. The studying and time that you put in at TestMasters will pay off.”

“I absolutely could not have done it without TestMasters.
I am sure that this sentiment is echoed by many former students and I am not an exception. I can unequivocally say that based on my experience, TestMasters was a game changer. The first time I took the test (studying by myself) I was scoring mid-to-upper 160s while I was practicing. I was devastated when I scored a 159 on the real thing. I knew at this point that I would have to revise my strategy but I was really hesitant to pay for something I thought I should have been able to do myself. However, I decided to take the advice of some of my coworkers at the DOJ who had had success with TestMasters and it was worth every single penny. My instructor Anthony Meni was just absolutely incredible. I don’t think I’ve ever in my life had such an engaging and effective instructor. I’m definitely a worrier, but the support that Anthony gave our whole class was invaluable—we talked often on the weekends about my most nagging questions. I credit this class for helping me turn the corner on the most difficult questions on the LSAT. That’s where I really feel that the combination of classroom instruction, repetition, and superior reasoning methods outlined by Robin Singh resulted in my ability to retrain my brain. On my first diag, I scored a 164; on test day, I scored a 174, and to me that really just speaks for itself.”

“I researched the different LSAT prep options before deciding to take the TestMasters course. I read a lot of positive reviews about TestMasters and they were all warranted. I decided to take the self-paced online version of the course, which was a great balance of structure and flexibility. I was able to set up a study plan and stick with it. The videos were engaging and informative, and the diagnostic tests and analyses were helpful in identifying which problem types were difficult for me. Thanks to TestMasters, schools have been reaching out to me, offering me fee waivers, and asking me to apply. I owe the huge jump in my score to TestMasters and I recommend the course because it really works.”
| Sophie Gebhardt | George Washington University | Before TestMasters 160 | After TestMasters 173 |
“My experience with TestMasters was great, and I truly believe it helped move the needle and get me into my top school. I started with the asynchronous online course and felt that it helped hone my skills and learn the LSAT inside and out. The TestMasters team was extremely accessible and helpful whenever questions did arise. Robin Singh personally dedicated significant time to reviewing questions and giving advice both in advance of my test and after I received my score, and his guidance was invaluable.
After my LSAT course, I used the admissions consulting program. Chris Tucker was extremely helpful in reviewing and refining my personal statement and supplemental essays and got me to a point where I felt very confident and ready to submit my applications. TestMasters was there with me through every stage of the application process and played a vital role in helping me get into my top school with a substantial scholarship. I am so grateful to the TestMasters team and extremely satisfied in my decision to participate in the LSAT prep course and the admissions consulting program.”

“TestMasters was a phenomenal course! It improved my score by 21 points! My instructor Pamela Black was so great. She was extremely helpful, smart, and nice. The TestMasters methodology was an excellent approach to prepping for the test and I benefited greatly from the materials in the online resource center. All of it together allowed me to get the score I needed for the law school of my choice.”
| Elizabeth Stork | University of Virginia | Before TestMasters 163 | After TestMasters 177 |
“The TestMasters course helped me immensely. I scored a 163 on my first diagnostic and moved up to a 177 on the actual test. The course taught me a new way of logical thinking that is essential to success on the LSAT. It was a significant time commitment, but in the end all of the work paid off. By the day of the test, no question on the LSAT was a surprise to me, and most questions felt very familiar. I have heard mixed reviews of other LSAT prep courses, but never a bad review of TestMasters. I strongly recommend this course.”
